The A-Box from Aware Electronics Inc. is a compact multimedia center that supports WAN and LAN connections for Web-browsing and P2P downloading. It is also a wireless AP router (optional) and can be built with a Bluetooth module. The device is equipped with an Aday5F 300MHz or 5G 800MHz X86 processor, a 128/256/512MB SDRAM, a 4MB flash ROM, and a 1/2/4/8GB NAND flash memory. Its interfaces include a 10/100Mbps Ethernet, an 802.11b/g (optional), an SD/MMC card, a 3.5mm earphone I/O, a standard D-Sub VGA, a Bluetooth EDR 2.0, an RF keyboard and four USB 1.1/2.0 ports. The digital media center plays back various A/V files such as MP3, MPEG-4, AVI, MOV, Flash, DivX, audio CD, BMP, JPEG, GIF and PNG formats. It supports word processing, spreadsheet and presentation applications, as well as features dictionary, spelling, and Tux Paint and Typing programs. Built-in games include Blockout, Galaga, XSolitaire, XBomb, XBubble, XDigger, XScavenger, XSoldier, Xperience2 and XPuyo-Puyo. The model is bundled with a 15V DC adapter, a D-Sub VGA cable and a user’s manual. Buyers can also opt to include an RF keyboard mouse, an RF remote control and a battery pack.
